HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. hot milk
1 tbsp. butter

Beat eggs, add sugar and beat vigorously, sift in flour and baking powder. Add vanilla and beat in milk and butter (after heating milk). The batter will be thin. Pour into a tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
