SPONGE CAKE - VERY GOOD 
6 lg. eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. pineapple juice or orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Beat baking powder in whites and put aside. Beat yolks, add sugar, gradually, add vanilla and pineapple juice and beat. Add flour, a small amount at a time. Use slow beater. Then fold in egg whites. Bake in 350 degree oven 50 to 60 minutes (some ovens - 40 minutes is enough) watch it - test with toothpick.
