CRACKER JACKS 
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda
5 qts. popped corn
1 c. roasted peanuts

Mix together sugar, syrup, molasses, water, vinegar and butter in pan. Cook to hard ball stage (265 degrees) stirring frequently during last part of cooking to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and add soda. Stir lightly. While it still foams pour over popcorn and nuts. Mix well and pour into buttered pan. When cool break into pieces.
