SHANGHAI DINNER
1 (11 oz.) can fried rice
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. dry sherry
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods
8 oz. sliced fully cooked turkey breast

In a medium saucepan combine rice, water, sherry and ginger, then cover. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

While rice mixture is cooking, place frozen pea pods in a colander. Run hot water over pea pods just until thawed. Drain well, then set aside. Cut turkey into bite-size julienne strips. Stir pea pods and turkey into rice mixture. Cover and cook over low heat about 5 minutes more or until heated through. Makes 4 servings. Note: Leftover beef or pork is also great in this Oriental one dish meal.

To microcook: Place rice, water, sherry and ginger in a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole, then cover. Microcook on 100% power (high) for 2-3 minutes or until heated through, stirring once.

Meanwhile, thaw pea pods and cut up turkey as above. Stir them into the rice mixture. Cook, covered, on high for 3-4 minutes more or until heated through, stirring once.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
