BUCKET MUFFINS 
2 c. boiling water
4 c. Kellogg's Bran Buds
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. shortening
1 qt. buttermilk
2 c. 100% Nabisco Bran
6 c. all-purpose flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over Kellogg's Bran Buds, set aside. Blend sugar, eggs, and shortening, and add buttermilk, 100% Bran, flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well and add the soaked Bran Buds last.

Bake muffins in well-greased muffin tins at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. If batter is taken from the refrigerator, allow a few minutes more. This batter keeps well in refrigerator for a month. Stir in covered container.
