TERIYAKI CHICKEN | |
2 whole chicken breasts or 1 lb. legs or thighs 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. dry sherry 1 tbsp. sugar 1 garlic clove, chopped 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 2 tsp. sesame seeds Arrange chicken skin side up, in a single layer in a shallow dish. Combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar, garlic, ginger and sesame seeds. Pour over chicken. Marinate in refrigerator, turning once or twice, for 2 hours. Preheat broilers, remove chicken from marinade. Spray rack in broiler pan with vegetable spray, place chicken on rack. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat, turning once and basting with marinade, about 10 minutes. Serves 4. |
