PASTRY FOR PIE 
4 1/2 c. flour
1 lb. lard
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tbsp. vinegar
Cold water

Break 1 egg into measuring cup and 1 tbsp. vinegar. Fill cup until 3/4 full with cold water. Then mix with pound of lard and 4 1/2 cups flour and salt. Roll out. Makes several pie shells.
