CORNBREAD 
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. whole wheat flour (white flour, optional)
1/3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg, well beaten
2 tsp. melted shortening

Preheat to 425 degrees. Prepare an 8-inch cake pan. Combine ingredients, mixing well. Spoon into pan. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool. Enjoy!
