OATMEAL BREAD 
2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
5 c. bread flour or plain flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. dry granulate yeast
1/2 c. warm water (110 to 115 degrees)
1 tsp. sugar

Pour boiling water over oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar in 1/2 cup warm water and add to batter. Add flour until thick enough to knead, enough to make a smooth elastic dough. Place in a greased bowl and let raise until double.
