STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SURPRISE 
3/4 c. butter
6 tbsp. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
2 c. boiling water
3 c. cold berries OR
1 lb. pkg. frozen berries
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
1 sm. carton Cool Whip

Combine butter, brown sugar, and pretzels; mix well and pat lightly in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Dissolve jello in boiling water; while still hot put in strawberries. Put jello mixture in refrigerator until it begins to set. Cream soft cream cheese with sugar; fold in Cool Whip. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.

When the jello mixture begins to set, pour over the top. Keep in refrigerator until firm; better if kept overnight before serving.
