1 box yellow Duncan Hines cake mix

Follow directions for pound cake on box, using vanilla pudding and more eggs. Pour into 3 small cake pans (8"), greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

OLE TIME BOILED CHOCOLATE ICING:

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
3 heaping tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Stir sugar and cocoa together, add milk, mix in small aluminum pan. Start to boil, add butter and vanilla. Boil on medium heat until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Stir constantly, it will burn easily. Remove from heat, beat with spoon, begin to put on layers while icing is still hot. You must work fast so it will not get hard before you finish top layer.
