CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
4 1/2 c. sugar
6 rounded tbsp. cocoa
1 1/4 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients except vanilla over low heat. Increase to medium heat until sugar has completely melted. Bring to rolling boil while beating with a hand mixer. Cool until fudge reaches the soft ball stage. (Drop a small drop of fudge in a cup of cold water to cool it. Drain off water and pick up fudge with fingers to form a soft but well-formed ball.)

Remove from heat, continuing to beat with mixer. Add vanilla and beat until fudge begins to thicken. Pour into a buttered 9x13 inch dish. Let cool before cutting.
