CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus devil's food cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour 15"x10" jelly roll pan or 13"x9" pan.

In large bowl, combine base ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into pan. Bake in jelly roll pan 20 to 30 minutes; 13"x9" pan 25 to 35 minutes. In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk; boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Pour over warm bars. Makes about 3 dozen bars.

NOTE: Temperature and times have been adjusted for high altitude.
