CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. fudge cake mix
21 oz. Thank You cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a jelly roll pan (10 1/2 x 15 1/2). Please use this size pan so the bars are the same size. Thanks!

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. (Batter will be thick.) Bake 20-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and milk. Bring to a boil and boil 1- 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over bars.

The frosting works best when the cake is hot, you need to spread the frosting quickly since it starts to set as it cools. You can start the frosting when the cake is about to come out of the oven.
