SPANISH STYLE PEAS 
1 (16 oz.) can peas, drained
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. canned tomatoes
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Melt butter. Add onion and green pepper and cook slowly until lightly browned. Add cornstarch. Stir until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until mixture thickens.
