HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
5 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot milk
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites to soft peak stage, gradually add 1 cup sugar, beat until well incorporated. Beat egg yolks, gradually add 1 cup sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Fold yolks into whites, gradually add flour and hot milk, alternating. Add flavorings.

Bake in 9 or 10 inch layer pan or rectangular pan.

Bake at 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.
