1 c. nuts 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter 1 tsp. vanilla Pinch of salt 10 - 12 lg. marshmallows 1 tbsp. water 2 c. sugar 3/4 c. evaporated milk In mixing bowl combine nuts, chocolate chips, butter, vanilla and salt. In a double boiler melt marshmallows in water. In a sauce pan bring sugar and evaporated milk to a slow boil and boil 6 minutes or until it forms a soft ball when tested. Add sugar mixture to melted marshmallows. Pour over mixture of chocolate chips, butter, etc. Beat until mixed only - DO NOT OVER BEAT! Put in buttered platter and place in refrigerator to set. Will stay moist a long time in Tupperware. |
