GREEN BEANS SUPREME 
3 cans (1 lb. each) drained French style green beans
1 1/2 c. sour cream
3/4 c. grated Colby cheese
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1 (4 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can French fried onion rings

Combine sour cream, brown sugar, flour, onion, salt and pepper, mushrooms and water chestnuts, add grated cheese and mix well. Use about 1/4 can of onion rings and break into this mixture, stir. Add green beans and stir gently until well blended. Try not to mash beans.

Pour into buttered 9 3/4 x 9 3/4 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes or until bubbly in center. Crumble remaining onion rings coarsely and sprinkle on top. Return to oven until onions are light brown - just a few minutes, they brown very quickly.
