GREEN TOMATO PIE | |
1 qt. green tomatoes 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. vinegar 2 or 3 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. cinnamon Double pie crust Thin slice green tomatoes on vegetable slicer. In large bowl, combine tomatoes and all remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into bottom 9" crust. Moisten outer rim with a little water. Top with second 9" crust; trim edges by running knife around rim; and seal with fork tines dipped in flour. Sprinkle a little sugar over top crust and pierce several times with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Serves 8. |
