POLISH STYLE CABBAGE (KAPUSTA) 
1 head cabbage
1 onion, chopped
2 strips bacon, cut in bits
1 qt. canned tomatoes
salt to taste
water
1 can sauerkraut
1 tsp. caraway seeds
2 tbsp. flour
meat

Cut up cabbage. In deep pot, put cabbage, tomatoes and water to cover. Put on heat and bring to boil. Lower heat. Add sauerkraut, caraway seeds and salt. Stir occasionally.

In frypan, brown onion with bacon bits. Add flour and some cabbage juice to make a gravy mixture. Pour mixture into pot of cabbage. Add meat of your choice (pork chops, spareribs or kielbasa can be added). Cook slowly 3 to 4 hours.
