1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 dozen milk chocolate Kisses

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar, peanut butter, butter, shortening and egg thoroughly. Stir in flour, shape dough into 1" balls; roll in sugar. Place about 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until edges are light brown; 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately press candy Kiss firmly into each cookie; cool. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
