CARAMEL SPANISH CREAM 
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
3 c. milk
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter

In saucepan cook butter and sugar until stiff. Mix gelatin, milk, egg yolks, salt, and vanilla; add to sugar and butter very slowly. Bring to a boil; cool, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
