SUE'S CORN CHOWDER 
Peel and dice potatoes (1/3 of pan). Cover with water.

Add:

1 chopped onion
3 cloves garlic

Boil and when almost done melt 1-2 cubes of butter in a separate pan and add flour until very thick - this is the roux. Add milk to pot 3 inches from top of pot and lower heat. Add roux when warm and add corn when thick.
