1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1 c. raw peanuts
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda

Boil sugar, syrup and water until mixture spins a thread when dropped into a glass of cold water. Add peanuts; cook until mixture becomes amber colored. Remove from heat; add butter, vanilla and soda. Mix well; pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Do not try to spread. Candy will be ready to break in about 10 minutes.
