LASAGNA
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lg. jar spaghetti sauce (30-32 oz.)
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
6 pieces lasagna macaroni
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Drain off grease. Add spaghetti sauce and let simmer.

Meanwhile, add salt and oil to 4 quarts rapidly boiling water. Add lasagna macaroni gradually. Boil, uncovered, for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Do not overcook. Drain in colander.

In 13x9x2 inch baking pan, spread about 1 cup sauce. Then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, then cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until lightly browned and bubbling. Allow to stand for 10 minutes; cut into squares to serve. Makes 8 servings. Serve with a lettuce salad and bread.
