HOT DOG SLAW 
12 1/2 lbs. cabbage
1 pt. yellow vinegar
3 3/4 lbs. sugar
1/2 gal. (64 oz.) mustard
3 red peppers, crushed
1 qt. water
6 oz. salt
1 oz. black pepper
1 lb. onion

Grate cabbage and onions. Mix all the ingredients. Let stand in stone jar, covered with cheese cloth for 3 days.

To grate cabbage, fill blender with about 3 3/4 cups of cabbage. Add enough water to almost cover. Drain in colander. Pack in sterile jars that are airtight.
