BROWNIES 
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten (or 4 egg whites, less fat)
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. pastry or all purpose flour
1/2 c. walnut meats, cut into pieces (opt.)
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Microwave the butter and chocolate at medium low power for about 1 minute. A little longer if needed to melt. Stir in all other ingredients. Spread in a buttered 9"x9" pan. Bake until dry on top and almost firm to tough, 30 to 35 minutes. Turn upside down on cooling rack. Cool. Cut into squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
