QUICK SAUSAGE SUPPER | |
3/4 - 1 lb. pork sausage 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. flour 16 oz. canned tomatoes, drained 4 oz. canned mushroom pieces & stems, undrained 1 tsp. oregano leaves 1 tsp. basil leaves 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 7.5 oz. can Pillsbury buttermilk or country biscuits 4 oz. (1 c.) shredded Mozzarella cheese Heat oven to 400 degrees. In 10" skillet, brown sausage and onions; drain. Sprinkle with flour and tomatoes, mushrooms and seasonings; mix well. Heat until hot and bubbly. Stir until slightly thickened. Reduce heat; simmer while preparing dough. Arrange biscuit pieces over meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 16 minutes or until biscuit pieces are golden brown. 5 to 6 servings. |
