DUMPLINGS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs (in measuring cup; add milk to equal 1 full c.)
2 slices white bread, toasted and cut into small pieces

Dumplings (Variation):

2 tbsp. oil
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten well
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
no bread pieces

Mix with flour and eggs, then knead bread pieces in. Let stand for 10 minutes. Boil water using large pan. Drop dumplings into boiling water or chicken broth. Turn once in awhile. Dumplings are done when they look like bread.
