MARINATED BROCCOLI 
2 bunches fresh broccoli
1/4 c. cold water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. dill seeds
1 tsp. pepper

Trim off large leaves of broccoli and tough ends of lower stalks. Wash broccoli thoroughly, cut into serving size spears. Place broccoli in a dish or bowl in a single layer.

Combine next 8 ingredients in a jar. Cover tightly, shake vigorously. Pour over broccoli. Cover and chill at least 12 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove broccoli from the marinade prior to serving. Serves 12.
