BEEF STEW 
3 lb. beef stew meat
8 sm. white onions
4 potatoes
6 carrots
1/2 lb. string beans
Flour, salt & pepper
Vegetable oil
Red wine

1. Cut meat into smaller pieces and remove any excess fat.

2. Put flour, salt and pepper in a brown bag. Shake to mix. Add meat to bag and shake hard to coat meat.

3. Brown meat in vegetable oil. Add a shot or two of red wine. Add vegetables and lower heat. Cover and cook over low heat until vegetables and meat are tender (a couple of hours). Taste for seasoning. Serves 6 to 8.
