CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
2 sq. melted chocolate
3 egg yolks (set egg whites aside for meringue)
1 tsp. vanilla flavor

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt with milk; add melted chocolate. Cook over hot water or low heat until thickened. Beat egg yolks, add a little of the hot mixture to yolks. Return yolk mixture to the first mixture, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into a baked pie shell.

Top with meringue made by beating egg whites with sugar until stiff enough to hold peak. Place on pie, sprinkle some brown sugar on top of egg whites and brown in oven.
