PECAN PIE 
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. packed light brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. dark corn syrup (Karo)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecan halves
Plain pie crust

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add next 4 ingredients. Mix well. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie crust; add mixture and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
