CABBAGE - CHEDDAR CHOWDER 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
3/4 med. head cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. water
3 c. milk
8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Brown beef, onion and green pepper in Dutch oven. Drain. Stir in cabbage and water. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is cooked, about 20 minutes. Stir in milk, cheese, flour, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
