I have been making this for several years. Always turns out just wonderful. WAY better than making a pie with a crust you have to roll. I have even made it using Splenda, both regular Splenda and the brown sugar mix. Still excellent.

Originally found this recipe in a Betty Crocker recipes card box I found at a yard sale. It REALLY DOES make it's own crust! Turns out great every time I make it! Great thing to make with kids (I let mine mix the sugar, nutmeg, & cinnamon with their hands..beat the eggs etc.) I have copied it down many times for friends, glad now I can just click and print!

Substituted 2 - 29 oz cans of peaches (cut up and drained) instead of the apples and it was awesome!!

I've made several "impossible" pies and quiches with Bisquick and apple is one of my favorites. When I looked up this recipe I misread it and used a TABLESPOON of cinnamon instead of a teaspoon. It was delicious! This recipe actually calls for twice the apples as some other similar Bisquick recipe, so I think it can really use more cinnamon. I also used 3/4 cup Bisquick for the pie batter.

Delicious. Relatively easy to prepare. Easier than pie crust. Overall, this recipe can be used to create desserts or main meals with slight variations. I used the low-fat version of Bisquick. It worked fine! Also made this recipe using blueberries which was equally delicious.

Just my opinion, but I think this cooks better in a 9 by 12 deep dish than a pie plate I make it that way all the time!
