CHOCOLATE MORSEL OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
Grated rind of 1 orange
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels

Cream shortening and sugar. Add orange rind, egg, vanilla and beat well. Sift salt and flour together. Mix with oats and add to the original mixture. Work chocolate morsels into the batter. Drop by the teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees. Yield: 2-5 dozen cookies.
