1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 sticks butter
1 c. oil
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugars, butter and oil. Add eggs. Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar and add to mixture. Add vanilla. Mix well and roll into balls. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen.
