BLACK WALNUT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. black walnuts

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg, extract and black walnut flavoring. Beat well. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Add to creamed mixture. Add black walnuts and blend. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen (2-inch) cookies.
