LOCAL CHILI 
4 strips bacon
1 (8 oz.) Portuguese sausage
1 onion, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
2 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. chili sauce mix
3 tbsp. chili powder
1 lg. can tomato sauce
1 can tomatoes, stewed
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 cans mushrooms
2 cans kidney beans
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown bacon and sausage. Add onions, celery and hamburger. When browned drain excess fat. Add chili seasonings and other ingredients. Lower to simmer for 30 minutes. Do not cover pot.
