CHILDREN'S FAVORITE DESSERT | |
1 lg. pkg. gelatin dessert 2 c. boiling water 1/2 gallon ice cream Dissolve gelatin in hot water then add ice cream by the scoop stirring just to melt ice cream partially. The last of the ice cream can be left in tablespoon size unmelted pieces. Place in refrigerator, ready in about an hour. NOTE: Many variations are possible. Example: Strawberry gelatin with strawberry ice cream and frozen sliced (defrosted) strawberries using the juice as part of the 2 cups of water; cherry or black cherry gelatin adding canned sweet cherries is another good variation. Lemon gelatin with vanilla ice cream is another favorite. |
