WON TON SALAD | |
Sesame seeds 4 chicken breasts 1 head lettuce 4 green onions 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1/2 pkg. won ton skins Boil chicken breasts until cooked through. Cool and pull chicken into strips. Cut won ton skins into strips and fry until light brown. Break up lettuce, cut onions. Mix all ingredients together. Chill and serve with sweet and sour dressing. (We like to add the won ton skins to the salad right before it is served, so the skins will stay crisp.) SWEET AND SOUR DRESSING: 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. ketchup 1/4 c. water 6 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp. water Cook, simmering for 1 to 2 minutes. Cool before serving. |
