1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 stiffly beaten egg whites
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil water and sugar until it spins a thread. Beat it into stiffly beaten egg whites. Add baking powder and vanilla.
