PIROSKI | |
2 lbs. ground round 1/2 head green cabbage 2 pkgs. frozen Bridgeford white bread loaves Shredded Cheddar cheese 1 tbsp. minced onion Salt and pepper to taste (Also good with spicy country sausage and Cheddar cheese.) Early in morning set out Bridgeford frozen bread loaves to rise all day in trays. Later in day preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown beef in large skillet. Drain well and add onion and salt and pepper to taste. Slice cabbage and fold into meat mixture to just barely wilt with heat off. Set aside. On well floured bread-board roll out bread loaves one at a time to about 1/3 inch thickness. Cut in half to form 2 piroski's. Fill each with about 1/3 cup meat and cabbage filling. Fold dough over top form pocket and seal edges by pressing together with fingers. Place on ungreased cookie sheet sprinkled with cornmeal. Mmm good! |
