BBQ CHICKEN 
3 lbs. chicken pieces
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 c. tomato ketchup
3/4 c. tomato juice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic (whole)

Flour and salt chicken; brown in hot fat.

Barbecue Sauce: Cook onion, celery, and green pepper in oil in large saucepan until tender. Remove from heat. Blend in other ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes. Remove clove of garlic. Arrange browned chicken pieces in casserole dish and cover with sauce. Bake, covered, 45 minutes; then, uncovered, for 15 more minutes in a 350 degree oven.
