TACO SALAD 
1 head lettuce, coarsely chopped
2 fresh tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 sm. can sliced black olives
1 lb. mild cheddar cheese (grated)
1 med. avocado (optional)
1 lb. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
1 sm. bottle Thousand Island dressing
1 pkg. tortilla chips

Put first 5 ingredients in large bowl and set aside. (May be refrigerated and other ingredients added just before serving.) Brown ground beef in skillet; drain all fat. Add kidney beans; heat together and remove from heat. Add to bowl; mix. Then put chips and dressing on, mix all ingredients together. May be served with bottled taco sauce.
