BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla

OPTIONAL:

1 c. chocolate chips
1/3 c. nuts

Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Melt butter in saucepan; add sugar, then blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well. Spread in 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan; cut into bars.
