CARAMEL DUMPLINGS 
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
Pinch salt

1. Cream butter and sugar. Add baking powder then milk alternately with flour. Drop by spoonful into the boiling sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Best when baked in an iron skillet.

2. Sauce preparation: Brown 1/2 cup sugar. Add boiling water then remaining sugar, salt and butter. Boil 10 minutes.
