BUTTERSCOTCH BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter, divided
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pieces
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, 4 tablespoons butter, and salt. Press into 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

In a small saucepan, combine butterscotch pieces, corn syrup, remaining 2 tablespoons butter, water, and salt. Cook and stir over low heat until smooth. Add nuts and pour over first layer. Bake for 8 minutes; cool and cut into bars. Wrap and freeze, if desired. Yield: 45 bars.
