BATTER DIPPED VEGETABLES 
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1 egg, slightly beaten

In bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients. Add water and egg; stir until smooth. Dip vegetables and deep fry. Excellent for onion rings, zucchini slices, green pepper rings, small pods of okra, and green tomato slices.
