2 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. salt
1/4 c. dry mustard
1/4 c. celery seed
1 whole med. onion, grated
4 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. vinegar

Combine sugar, salt, mustard, onion and half the vinegar. Gradually add oil, and beat with electric mixer. Beat in remaining vinegar in small amounts. Add celery seed and beat until mixture is thick. Store in refrigerator. Makes 2 quarts. A superb sweet dressing for fruit salad, cabbage slaw or plain lettuce. Makes 4 servings.
